4th of July Event

Image
There are a dozen great horror movies that take place in the summer time, I would say the most popular would be Friday the 13th, Camp Crystal Lake. So with 4th of July coming up, many people will be camping and just enjoying the freedoms of this great country with their family. We at Rise want to make at least the breakfast portion before you hit the road a little less hectic with all of the kids being starving to death. So we will be offering a Deadly Bakers Dozen, for $13 dollars, to go orders only. That is $1 a donut, what a friggin country this is! Donuts, Death and America, George Washington would be proud. Store will be closed on the 4th of July, but we will be offering this promotion Thurs and Friday of that week. Stop in, get some donuts, feed those kids and enjoy your weekend.

Blood, Guts and Donuts

Blood, Guts, Gore and Heavy Metal to easily sum it up. Our products are based on the horror films you grew up with Jason, Freddy, Pennywise, Michael Myers and more. We have fun and get creative with our products, we will have some main stays. But we always want to stay creative and come up with new ideas. We also have monthly contest to let our customers design and create a donut based on their creation that we will sell in store. The heavy metal selection I am personally biased towards as a music lover. They are the ones I love to create, using song titles and adding something bakery related in it, its always a good brain exercise. I think the idea of what we do is great, we have a "cult following" we have the metal heads and the horror film buffs. We also have people who just like baked goods. It is a good thing to see different people from walks of life bond over those things.

Beginnings

I started Rise Bakery in 2020, with my fiance and her Mom. I have always been interested in baking and things related. My fiance's mom just happens to be an amazing baker so it all worked itself out. Although she wasn't to keen on the theme of my bakery she finally accepted it and here we are. Being a horror and heavy metal based bakery has its pros and it cons like any other business. We get the metal heads and the horror film fanatics, we also turn people away due to the graphic nature of our products, I guess all we have to say to that is, Bye!. It has been a journey some good ways, some bad. Its a headache at times getting up at 430am and preparing everything, creating menus, coming up with food ideas, promotions. The recent covid19 definitely hurt business a little, but we are getting by. Being a new bakery in an area of family own established bakeries such as Manderfields and Simple Simons is actually rewarding, people want to try new things. Whether they come in onc
